Full tang Belt Axe

The steel for this full tang belt axe is 80Cr V2 which is 7mm thick. The head of the axe is 140mm from the face to the point opposite the cutting edge and the overall length of the axe is 285mm. The whole of the surface of this axe has been gun blued to give it a no glare finish. The scales on this prototype model are made from python skin Micarta, but earth brown or black Ultrex G-10 will be used on all subsequent models. The axe comes with a wet moulded leather head cover which has been dyed black, with Kydex rivets around its circumference and is held on the belt with a Spyderco G-clip.
